Preparing for a Korean Wedding with My American Husband, Part 1: Budget, Venue, and Studio-Dress-Makeup Timeline

🌏 Life in Korea | Living with My American Husband 🌏 Language: 🇰🇷 KR | 🇺🇸 EN We’re a Korean–American couple who got married in Korea  May 2024 . We decided to hold only a Korean ceremony, while celebrating separately with our U.S. family with a nice dinner and photos later. Because of that, the entire process followed Korean wedding customs , which felt quite foreign to my husband. It was my first time, too, but I at least had some idea of what to expect from my friends and family. He, on the other hand, had never been exposed to how that process works in Korea — so everything felt new. For anyone preparing a wedding with an American or otherwise-foreign spouse unfamiliar with Korean wedding culture , I’m sharing our full wedding timeline and practical tips by stage based on our real experience.

How I Built an AI Blog with ChatGPT | 2-Hour-a-Day Side-Income Experiment

🌏 Language: 🇰🇷 KR | 🇺🇸 EN

This post marks the first record of my 2-Hour-a-Day AI Side-Income Experiment.
Together with ChatGPT, I built my blog from scratch — from setup to the very first post — and here’s how I did it, step by step.

1. The Beginning: “Today 1 Step”

On October 14, 2025, I launched my blog “Today 1 Step” with a simple goal:
to create a realistic side income using AI tools while documenting the process transparently.

The concept was simple — I wanted to dedicate about two hours a day to using AI tools and testing real monetization models.

At the same time, I wanted this blog to be a space to record things I want to do and learn — one by one — as I grow. For a deeper story, check out “Why I Started ‘Today 1 Step’” .😉

2. Setting Up the Blog with ChatGPT

  • Time spent: about 30 minutes
  • AI tool used: ChatGPT

2-1. Naming the Blog

I’d been thinking about starting a blog for years but could never quite start. I felt pressured to have a clear concept, produce continuous content, and define exactly what to write about.

So one day, I decided to just start — even if it meant writing about random things at first. I chose Google Blogger as my platform because it’s SEO-friendly and has strong visibility on Google search.

The first thing the setup screen asked was,

“What would you like to name your blog?”

A name defines the blog’s identity — something I couldn’t postpone any longer. From that moment, ChatGPT became my co-creator.

I opened a new ChatGPT project called “Blog” and typed:

“I’m about to create a Google Blog. Please suggest names.I plan to start as a general-interest blog about:
My goals and the things I want to try or learn,
Informational content for English speakers interested in life or marriage in Korea (since I live as part of a Korea–US international couple).
It’ll start broad, but I’d love for it to eventually connect to monetization or business opportunities.”

ChatGPT suggested multiple name ideas. After a few rounds of refining and re-prompting, the direction became clearer — and I realized I actually had more clarity about what I wanted than I thought. That’s how the name “Today 1 Step” was born.

Once the name was finalized, I asked ChatGPT to help choose the blog URL and author name — ones that would sound natural to English readers and could later evolve into a brand.

I also considered long-term potential for monetization and identity building.

After completing the setup, it was time to write my very first post. I asked ChatGPT to create a bilingual draft (Korean and English) for my first entry. In just one line of prompt, it perfectly summarized everything we had discussed while naming the blog — neatly and precisely.

After reviewing and making a few edits, I published the post.
Total time spent: about 30 minutes.

2-2. Defining the Direction

After setting up the blog, I began experimenting — spending two to three hours a day with ChatGPT to see if AI-driven monetization was really possible.
I asked:

“You are my business mentor. Your goal is to coach me to make ₩10 million per month within two years.
Currently, I’m on maternity leave, so I can’t make more than ₩1.5 million a month,
and I can’t officially freelance or run a business right now.
Within that limit, I want to create a small but meaningful income stream
that can grow into something scalable after I return to work in January 2027.
I’ll base it on my new blog ‘Today 1 Step’, and I’ll dedicate 2–3 hours each morning.
Ask me whatever you need to know — then tell me what to do today.”

ChatGPT responded with thoughtful questions to define my direction:

  1. What core topics would you like your blog to cover? (AI, parenting, self-growth, data, philosophy, finance, international marriage, etc.)

  2. What kind of content formats do you envision? (Writing, AI art, videos, Notion/PDF templates, newsletters, etc.)

  3. What kind of monetization model do you imagine? (Ads, affiliate links, digital products, subscriptions, courses, branding, etc.)

  4. What’s your current level of AI tool proficiency?

  5. How would you describe your brand tone in one word? (Warm, insightful, practical, creative, intellectual, humorous, etc.)

Answering these questions helped me find my focus.
The final concept became clear:

“An AI-powered growth journal — taking one small step every day.”

Instead of chasing short-term profit, I decided to focus on productivity, creativity, and long-term potential using AI tools.

The conversation that day led to my first published post:

3. Writing Posts Using AI Tools

  • Time spent: about 1 hour
  • AI tools used: ChatGPT, Gemini, Canva

So far, I’ve written all posts using ChatGPT — from first drafts to SEO optimization.
For example, simply asking

“Convert this into SEO-optimized HTML for Google Blogger”
instantly generates code with proper heading tags, meta descriptions, and structure.

I also asked ChatGPT about Permalink and Search Description settings to ensure every post was search-friendly.

For thumbnails, I used AI as well. Both ChatGPT and Google Gemini can generate images, but Gemini’s output was more visually appealing. So I had ChatGPT write image prompts specifically for Gemini, then pasted them there to create thumbnails. I usually used English prompts for better results.

Finally, I opened Canva to design the thumbnail text. Using pre-made templates, I could just replace the content — a huge time-saver compared to manually creating designs in Photoshop.

Overall, writing and publishing each post took about one hour.

4. Posting & Workflow Summary

Here’s my complete workflow from setup to publishing:

  1. Set the blog name and direction with ChatGPT
  2. Plan content structure and writing tone
  3. Apply AI-generated HTML templates
  4. Create thumbnails using AI image tools (Gemini + Canva)
  5. Write bilingual versions (Korean & English)
  6. Insert SEO keywords: AI blog, side income, ChatGPT, blog monetization

Once the structure was in place, it only took about two hours a day from idea to publication.

5. What Comes Next

The purpose of this experiment is not just to write posts — but to test whether AI can help build a sustainable income model.

I’ve always enjoyed writing, but it can feel overwhelming at times. That’s why I’m focusing on using AI to reduce time investment while still achieving results.

In the upcoming weeks, I plan to explore:

  • Automating writing and editing with ChatGPT

  • Creating AI-generated thumbnails and analyzing traffic performance

  • Getting Google AdSense approval and measuring earnings

  • Experimenting with digital product creation

Step by step, with just two hours a day,
I’ll keep planting seeds that may someday grow into a steady side income.
