[11/18 (Tue) Due Date D-4]
I woke up at 5:30 a.m.
The first thought that popped into my head was, “How should I organize all the clothes and stationery?”
I must have been thinking about unpacking even in my sleep.
Once that to-do list appeared in my mind, I couldn’t fall back asleep.
I tried to sleep again until 6 a.m., failed, and finally just got out of bed.
My body felt heavy after moving all day yesterday, but once I actually got up, I could move around.
My husband was still sleeping in the master bedroom, and my dad — who had come to help with the move — was asleep in the small room, so I couldn't do anything in those spaces.
I went out to the living room, wondering what I could do right then, and picked up my phone to check a notification: our Coupang Rocket Delivery had arrived!
Our living room floor lamp, which had worked perfectly for four years, had suddenly blown its bulb the day before the move, so I’d ordered a new bulb in a hurry — and it had just been delivered.
I brought the package in from the front door and ripped the tape open.
At that moment, my husband came out to the living room, rubbing his eyes.
I guess I hadn’t fully closed the bedroom door earlier, and the sound of the tape being ripped pulled him out of bed.
Seeing his very pregnant wife tearing into a package at dawn made him burst out laughing.
“That is so you,” he said — and of course, he knows me better than to try to tell me to stop and go back to sleep. 😄
So I took that as my chance and went back into the bedroom to start sorting clothes.
My dad headed back to his place early in the morning, my husband left for work, and by the time I had taken a shower and gotten ready for the day, it was around 8 a.m. We had booked a professional organizing team to help us get our new place set up after the move, and they were due to arrive later in the morning. I was already thinking, “Where should all the stationery go?”
I realized that if we placed two small cabinets between the doors to the baby's room and the bathroom, they would fit the space perfectly.
These were pieces of furniture that used to sit next to the bed and under the desk in the study, but I wasn't sure where to put them in our new place.
Thankfully, both were light and empty inside, so I easily slid them into place against the wall — and they fit like they were made for that spot.

After that, I went back to the clothes.
I took everything off the hangers and sorted them into two groups: clothes for the open rack and clothes for the dresser drawers.
Long dresses, coats, and thicker pieces that are hard to fold went on the rack, and everything else went into drawers.
I thought I’d gotten rid of a lot of clothes, but it still ended up being a huge pile.
While I was in the middle of folding, I heard the doorbell.
It was already close to 9 a.m.
Through the video intercom, I saw three people — professional organizers from the company Isahue (“After Moving”) — waiting with warm smiles at the building entrance.
I remotely unlocked the door to let them in, and soon I heard the elevator ding. Then, they were at my door, and I let them in, smiling.
They divided the work into three zones:
one person took the living room and master bedroom veranda, another took the kitchen, and the last took the kitchen veranda.
First, they quickly scanned the items in each area, asked me which things we could throw away, and then sorted everything into “discard” and “keep and organize” piles.
All three had more than ten years of experience, so most things were handled smoothly without me needing to say much.
They were all moms of two or three kids each, with plenty of pregnancy and parenting experience, so they tried their best to let me rest since I was only four days away from my due date.
But I really wanted to finish as much unpacking as possible today, so I quietly moved around the master bedroom, small room, and nursery, doing my own little bits of organizing.
They kept telling me, “Please lie down,” “Please sit and rest,” but as I watched everything coming together so quickly, it was hard to just sit still…!
By the afternoon, things started to wrap up.
One by one, each organizer called me over and walked me through what was stored where.
In our previous place, the kitchen and storage room were areas I could never quite figure out how to tackle, so I mostly ignored them.
But after the professionals worked their magic, everything in the kitchen and veranda was sorted by category and placed in a clear, logical spot.
They even labeled everything so it would be easy to maintain later. Many of the reviews left by other customers had mentioned being touched by the amazing work this company did, and after seeing the results, I understood what they meant.

Once the organizers had taken care of all the hardest, most overwhelming areas, all that was left was the fun part — decorating with small items.
My husband and I both love little decorative touches.
It doesn’t feel like home until we have meaningful souvenirs, cute figurines, and family photos around us.
We taped a couple of posters to the shoe cabinet, decorated the living room shelves with some framed pictures and small mementos. Only then did it finally feel like our home was complete.
At last, our long, long moving process was over.
When my husband came home from work, I proudly showed him all the organized spaces one by one.
His eyes went wide as he looked around, and he kept saying how amazing it all looked.
Thanks to his big reactions and compliments, I felt even prouder of what we’d finished. 😄
After we finished organizing and I finally lay down in bed, my heart felt much lighter.
I had been worried that the baby might decide to come in the middle of the move, or while the organizers were here, but everything went smoothly and safely.
It feels like the baby kindly waited for Mom’s plan to be finished.
Being considerate even before being born — such a sweet little one already.
Now, the only thing left is the birth itself.
It’s really time to focus on meeting our baby.
